Mariano E. Menendez, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and elbow surgery at the Oregon Shoulder Institute at Southern Oregon Orthopedics, which has locations in Grants Pass and Medford, Oregon. He sees patients at the practice’s Medford location.
Dr. Menendez completed a five-year residency in orthopedic surgery at Tufts University in Boston, followed by advanced fellowship training in shoulder and elbow surgery at the internationally renowned Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush program in Chicago. While in Chicago, he served as assistant team physician for the Chicago Bulls and Chicago White Sox. Dr. Menendez has published over 150 peer-reviewed manuscripts and has presented his research at national and international meetings. Together with Dr. Denard, they are the two most widely published shoulder specialists in Oregon.
Dr. Menendez is a citizen of the world, having lived in Argentina, Italy, and Spain before moving to the United States. Outside of work, Dr. Menendez enjoys spending time with his family and dog, playing tennis, drone photography, and hiking.
